ABOUT MUVA

  • Osunbunmuni Aniyah Michelle (Muva) is an ancestral worker, diviner, herbalist, poet/writer, and energy worker from Virginia; her ancestral roots hailing from the Afro-Chesapeake of Maryland, and North Carolina. She guides others through dream wisdom, ancestral messages, and creative ritual, offering a grounded and compassionate space for spiritual clarity and healing.

Muva is the product of a single mother, a first-generation college graduate, and the first in her lineage to enter corporate America straight out of school. For years, she carried the pressure of being “the one who made it,” pushing through burnout and constant survival mode. Corporate success brought stability, but it slowly pulled her away from the parts of herself that felt creative, intuitive, and spiritually rooted.

Eventually, her ancestors called her home…

Her return home began during a global turning point. After the murder of George Floyd, the isolation of COVID-19, and the political unrest that swept the country, Muva was called back to the medicine already living in her lineage. She began studying herbalism, Reiki healing, and ancestral veneration, reconnecting with the traditions that sustained Black people for generations. These practices helped her heal her own mental health struggles, religious trauma, and the pressure of navigating systems that were never built for her.

    That healing became purpose.

Muva felt called to demystify spirituality, normalize emotional and mental healing, and guide African Americans back to the African spiritual traditions many were taught to fear. Her work became a pathway of liberation; a bridge between the ancient, the artistic, and the everyday.

Leaving corporate was the final act of devotion.
A choice to live in truth, not survival.

  • Today, Muva lives in Georgia and is earning her second degree. This time led not by stability, but by the wisdom of her heart: Midwife Nursing. Her calling to support birth, transformation, and community aligns with everything her ancestors cultivated through her.

Alongside her studies, she is building Muva Nature’s Garden LLC: an ancestral creative wellness space that will one day grow into a nonprofit supporting Black families, birth workers, and community healing through ritual, art, education, and spiritual wellness.

Rooted in lineage, intuition, and intention, Muva’s work helps you reconnect with your spirit, your ancestors, and the parts of yourself that are finally ready to come home.
